General Overview of the Program

The Associate Programs offer the students knowledge and understanding of the field of specialization of their choice. This is provided to the students after they graduated high school but are not yet ready for Bachelor degree. It is a short term professional program which has the duration of 2 years or 4 semesters.

Careers Opportunities

Students who graduated from the Associate Programs can apply for jobs in private companies, in NGO’s (non-government organization), or in the government. They can work as clerk or staff and when they gain experience, they can also hold simple supervisory positions. After sometime, they can continue to take their Bachelor degree if they meet the requirements of the program of their choice.

Degree / Certificated Offered

After the students have successfully completed and graduated 2 years program, Phnom Penh Institute of Technology offers Associate Degree Diploma. With this degree they have ability to find job or they can continue to Bachelor Program with some conditions which is required according the program.

Curriculum Structure

The associate program comprises 2 academic years or 4 semesters for all courses. Each course has different assigned credits depending on subject. All courses require examination at the end of each semester as well as the final project.


Foundation Year Course, required for all first-year students, consists of liberal arts curriculum that will help students gain vital general knowledge to better prepare them for a rigorous university education.
